Big Dogs. Bigger Hearts. Second Chances.

The Red Barn Goofy Newfy Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and responsibly rehoming large breed dogs in need.

Our journey began as fosters for five different rescues — partnerships we are still proud to work closely with today. Through fostering, we saw firsthand the growing need for advocacy specifically for large breed dogs. That passion led us to create a rescue focused entirely on giving these gentle giants the second chances they deserve.

Since then, we have proudly placed over 300 dogs into loving forever homes.

What We Do

We specialize in rescuing large breed dogs that are:

As a foster-based rescue, every dog lives in a home — not a shelter — where they receive individualized care, structure, and love.

Each dog receives comprehensive veterinary care, professional grooming, proper nutrition, and careful evaluation before adoption.

Most importantly, we are committed to every dog for life.
All dogs adopted through our rescue are placed under a binding lifetime return contract. If at any point an adopter can no longer keep their dog, the dog comes back to us. Always. Our Commitment

We believe rescue goes beyond placement. We are deeply connected to our adopters and remain a lifelong support system. Whether it’s training guidance, health questions, or simply sharing updates, we are always here for our families.

We also advocate for ethical breeding, responsible ownership, and education — because awareness prevents future surrender.

Large breed dogs are loyal, intelligent, and incredibly devoted. With proper care and commitment, they thrive — and we are here to ensure they get that chance.
